Let me tell you about mustard seeds.  Mustard seeds are a very tiny seed, although not the tiniest, that grow in to a bush, taller than a human.  From something small, as Jesus says, the mustard seed grows into something big, such as the large mustard bush.

Branch-Spirit DescendsMay the words of my lips and the meditations of all our hearts be acceptable and pleasing to you, O Lord, our Rock and our Redeemer.  Amen.

There are really only two major festivals that we celebrate in a big way in our church year – Christmas and Easter.  At Christmas time, it seems to be about the Son.  Well, it’s about the Father too, but we celebrate the coming of the Son – the birth of a Saviour to a world that is lost and dark.
